I am going to show you how you can make money on www.flixya.com. You’ll write articles and your ads will make the money for you. This is something I have tried and it’s not a scam. I am currently making money from this site.

Things You’ll Need:

* Time
* A google adsense account
* Sign up for a flixya.com account

Step1

www.flixya.com is a site where you write a blog or an article, upload photos and videos; basically socialize with everyone. We all do this on myspace.com, facebook.com and other sites. However, the positive thing about fixya.com is you’ll be making money from the ads placed on your profile.

You will be receiving 100% of the revenues from the clicks around your articles, blogs, photos, videos, etc. Now, come on who wouldn’t want to make some extra cash? Especially if you love writing, like I do, then you will be doing something you enjoy and most likely do often anyways for free. Except this time you’ll be getting paid for it.

Flixya and Adsense

Over the past month Flixya has been changing and upgrading its members features. The New Flixya TV is nice however I thought there would be more to it? I'm sure the master minds at Flixya will vamp it up soon?

After a long time of the site being Down or slowing to a crawl Flixya IT seems to have solved the problem and everything seems to be back to normal. Now when I use Flixya I'm not sitting around for 10 minutes waiting for a page to load. Its nice to see that the Who's on Flixya area doesn't have the same people all the time and Popular Blogs Listing is always changing. For a while there both areas seemed to be dominated by Scripters?

Now that Flxiya has fixed the issues with Script uploaders and other technical problems it seems to be back to normal if not better than before? I have noticed that my Adsense Revenue from Flixya is returning to somewhat normal after almost going to zero? For a while there I though it was all over for making money on Flixya as my Adsnese Revenue from Flixya went from Very good to very Poor? I'm not sure if this was due to site changes, scripters or just whatever? But its nice to see the return of Revenue from my Flixya Blog.

Flixya Bloggers that don’t get this crucial point end up being tiny islands in a very big ocean. I believe the biggest thought of most Newbies in Flixya is “I’ve built it, but no-one’s come to visit.”

Instead, you need to get involved! Regardless of your topic, I bet there are already other people blogging about the same issues, thoughts and ideas, even if you don’t agree with them. Join their conversation — on their territory — and you’ll be leaving your island and joining the party.

Here’s an easy tip that I tell other Bloggers: two days a week spend an hour writing one thoughtful and cogent article that’s relevant to your target readership. Imagine you’re going to be having it picked up and published in one of the key trade publications in your marketplace. Good grammar, good spelling, coherent sentences, and a valuable point or insight are all important. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but I promise you, the better you write, the more your potential of getting noticed.

This will bring outside traffic to your Flixya Blog and will help in generating clicks to your Adsense. If you think members in Flixya are going to click your Adsense ads think again! Its people outside of Flixya that find your Blog that click your ads!

The topic of Blog RSS linking has been covered many times before from all the different aspects, talking from social aspects to technical aspects to traffic on your Blogs issues.

Here is the list of what I think the benefits of linking, by no way is this a complete list of even what I think. If you think key points are missing, put on as comments.

1. When you RSS to a Blog or a website, you recognize other person's work
2. You become authority of something
3. When you RSS link to somebody else's Blog and you put your own opinions and views against it, it creates more value. You can even correct that person if he is wrong in the first place.
4. You reference other person's work if you are extracting parts from it.
5. You web the Internet more closely and this helps in your Google positioning too.
6. It creates a social connection. This is my favorite reason. For example when people link to me or I see any referrer coming, I visit his Blog which makes me aware of the existence of his Blog, it makes me realize that he is a regular reader of my Blog and I read other posts on his Blog and if they interest me, I normally tend to subscribe to those Blogs. This has two benefits, firstly my reading is increasing and secondly the readers of the other Blog are increasing too, as the chances that I will link to that Blog again in the future drastically increases.
7. URL linking helps in social networking too, I know many people now that I look forward to meeting when I go back to Thailand and the whole connection began just either because they commented on my Blog or they linked to my Blog.
8. Using services like Flixya, Google and Technorati, I know who all are talking about me when they RSS link to my Blog.

Making a Good thing Bad?

I joined Flixya quite a while ago and worked very hard uploading content to my blog? Now I see members have created scripts that will automatically upload articles and Video to their blogs.

Its content on auto pilot

I guess I could use the script too but somehow I feel its not in the spirit of Flixya.

Since these members started uploading with script I have noticed a massive decline in my adsense revenue and my blog has lost its google index with google rating too.

I not sure if Flixya allows the use of Auto Script, but from what I see they don’t seem to care? I would assume that content is content and these script uploaders are giving Flixya the page impressions required by Google in order to keep up their Google’s Adsense API?

I hope the content being upload can actually be monitored by Flixya as it would be a shame if they lost their API account due to improper postings? But then again none of us members really know the deal they struck with Google.

Its actually very sad to see the decline of relevant content in Flixya and even more sad to see the decline of members who worked hard to create their Blogs and the content within. Now it seems Flixya is turning out to be an adsense mill for new Members. They create an account (or should I say accounts as many have multiple accounts) set up the upload script and mass upload content to their Blogs. Some of them even take the time to visit other blogs and mass hit them in hopes of indexing there articles that where posted with this upload script?

With Flixya giving away 100% of the Adsense Revenue it was only a matter of time before scrpiters took advantage of the situation and are possibly ruining it for everyone else?

When I First Joined Flxiya the content was diverse and Members posted relevant content. Now with these scripters the site is mass published with the same articles over and over again. They even seem to be uploading the same videos over and over again? No wonder my adsense is in the toilet

The creators of Flixya developed a site that was a benefit to all that joined being able to generate a little revenue for the content you published.

Now it seems like a free for all with people creating numerous accounts and then turning on the upload script in hopes of an adsense win fall?
So now its to the point of wait and see?

Maybe these scripters will tire and move on or maybe its me who should move on like many of the Most Viewed members are doing?

I state the most viewed members as these are the Flixya Members that I believe are the the ones that really (Share Everything) in the spirit of Flixya.

P.S. I wonder if this article will even be read by members as these mass uploaders are dominating the site making it very difficult for the real posters to be even seen :(

I had a disappointing email about 20 min ago….

Well, first I will explain what happened a few days ago…I went to check my google adsense account and I noticed 500 clicks(quite unusual) from one person or shall I say an autobot,I reported it to Google and asked them to investigate it (being an honest person) and today I got this email:

account has posed a significant risk to our AdWords advertisers. Since

keeping your account in our publisher network may financially damage

our advertisers in the future, we’ve decided to disable your account.

The Secret Revealed - How To Make Money On Flixya

Flixya is a great place to write, publish photos and videos and to make money. I am so excited that I make money everyday here. You can too. It is really very easy and somewhat magical.

How do you make money on Flixya? You make money each time someone clicks on an ad on one of your articles, photos or videos. Each time one of your readers sees an interesting ad and clicks on it to read it, you get paid.

So, how do you get people to click on your ads? You can not ask them to click on your ads or tell them to click on your ads or beg them to click on your ads. And, of course, you can not click on your own ads. AdSense, the people who pay us, is very, very strict about those rules.

There are only two things you can do.

First, you can write articles and publish photos and videos that are interesting. You have to get people to come and read them so they will see your ads and find them interesting.... Write good articles and good content. That will bring you readers. Make sure that you write good keywords for your articles so that the ads that are served on them will match the content of your article. The theory is that if someone is interested in your article they will be interested in your ads..... and if they are interested, they might click on them and sign up for a newsletter, an account, or purchase something.

Second, you can remember to look at the ads on the articles, photos and videos that other people publish on Flixya. The internet is a very dynamic system. It is also a very magical system. You see, magical systems function on the theory of threes..... that whatever energy you put out into the Universe will come back to you threefold. I believe that you have to put energy into the Flixya system if you want to receive energy from it. The easiest way to do that is to go read an article and look at the ads. I find the most interesting things that way. I have gotten lots of free stuff and found merchants that I really like.

But, I have to remind myself to actually look at the ads. It is easy to just ignore them and read the article. I always read the ads before I rate or comment on an article. I think if I like the article well enough to rate it or comment on it, I should at least look over the ads on the article. They might be interesting also.

In short, I am the ideal reader. I read, rate, and comment on other people's articles, photos, and ads and some of my readers read, rate and comment on my articles and ads. I contribute to the energy system on the internet and it contributes to the energy system of my life.

Yes I got Suspended

Yes I got Suspended

Once again I floundered within Flixya and got suspended for uploading pictures with tags not related to the picture.

I uploaded a picture and added tags that were not related in anyway to the photograph that in Google terms is called padding.

To add to my suspension the picture I posted was of Teen girl in a swimsuit from Japan. From Flixya’s point of view they are a family orientated website and they felt that the picture was out of context.

The exact words were:

The system flagged your account for two reasons. I just checked your account and it appears that you posted photos of a young girl. That is something that we have set up so that our site is not over run by photos of under aged girls or inappropriate photos. We don’t consider this to be good content and sends the wrong message. This is a family site and posting photos of girls is not appropriate. Unfortunately, due to the actions of others, we are very strict about this.

The other reason is due to “keyword padding.” This is actually against the Google TOS and can get your Adsense publisher ID banned very quickly. The reason is that you are posting content that is irrelevant and therefore, this is seen as a way to manipulate the system.

Please don’t make the same mistake as me and upload anything that might give reason for being suspended

Flixya has been a great platform for me to promote my other sites and has dramatically increased my Adsense income.

Let’s just say the one day Suspension from Flixya took a huge chunk out of my Adsense income.

Here is a tip on how I have been successful:

1. I uploaded a wordpress Blog that is Adsense ready
2. I upload articles to Flixya
3. I then use quick post and link my article post from Flixya to my Blog

By doing this simple little trick my Blog is now on the first page of Google and receives hits daily!

This wouldn’t have happened as quickly as it did without Flixya

Ivan Wong: USC Electrical Engineering Student, Web Entrepreneur and Innovator

Ivan Wong is a masters student in the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Southern California. He has passion in multimedia and Internet technologies. After graduating from the University of California, San Diego with a BS in Electrical Engineering, Ivan worked on multi-level flash memory and on the side co-produced an action sports television show. Having created several sites previously, Ivan worked on creating an online action sports portal to expand the reach of the show.

"Although the site did not take off as expected, it made me open my eyes to the many aspects that are required to make a website successful," Ivan explains. Spending his nights reading webmaster forums and blogs, Ivan slowly learned the dynamics behind popular websites and built several more prototypes. In July 2006, Flixya.com was launched and gained traction quickly with a world wide audience.

In 2007, Ivan and his partners founded Hybrid Media Labs. The company has developed a network of innovative media driven websites and established strategic partnerships with companies such as Google and Amazon.

I have been developing website properties that enable the consumption, distribution and monetization of digital media. The parent company which I co-founded is Hybrid Media Labs.

What drives you to continue pursuing this area of study?

Flixya.com is a social network that pays its users ad revenue (100% ad revenue passed to the contributing member) to share media. We have created a profitable and unconventional business model, and a tool for Internet users to monetize their media. We also have a collection of other sites which offer online tools and services which are built around different business models.

How did you come up with the idea?
We created several prototypes in the video sharing space and later felt there was a niche in the revenue sharing arena. After a month of rapid development, we launched Flixya version 1 which incorporated ideas of our initial prototypes with a revenue sharing model.

Has anyone ever doubted that your idea could work?
Definitely, ideas after all are a dime a dozen. However, after many past failures it’s become more apparent on which ones will succeed. Every doubter becomes a motivator as I enjoy defying odds.

What is the next step in the innovation process for you (and how might people help)?
Everyday is part of the innovation process and it repeats with the launch of each new project. If I read one more blog about a get rich quick scheme, I might vomit all over my motherboard. 3. Personal Messaging: If I had an ad click for every time someone sent me a referral link to another get rich quick site, well, I'd have about seventy two dollars. Who in their right state of mind thinks that I'm going to spend hours upon hours clicking ads, writing ad reviews, watching mindless ad presentations, so that they can get an extra 0.025 cents on their own ad clicks. Flixya has got Google Ads all over the site and when someone clicks the add when they were browsing through the pictures you have uploaded, blogs or videos, you get the revenue generated by the add to your adsense account.
The last social networking website I would consider as a good money generator is yuwie.com.
Because this is a true social networking websites, you are able to share pictures and blogs over there, but the main purpose is to interact with other people. The website has thousands of members and I think it is great place to have your profile. You get paid for every thousand view of your profile and you can refer other people up to ten levels. It means that you will get a cut from what they get. Solid system and this is a must for everyone who are spending their time on the net chatting to other people. Easy to set up and it is worth it.

There is a new paid to post arena among the many paid online opportunities, and that is Flixya. As far as I know Flyxa is the first and only paid to post videos opportunity out there, but I'm guessing it will not be the last.

The way you make money on Flixya is based on revenue sharing. You must have a Google Adsense account to participate, but once you do, you can begin posting videos right away. Oh, and it's free to sign up. No fees to participate in this one which is nice, and other than looking for and posting interesting videos this one is pretty much a no-brainer.

I'm going to be giving them a try myself and will post again and to let you know what I think of them.

A great way to gain backlinks and increase the ranking of your videos in the search engines is to utilize Squidoo’s RSS module which will automatically aggregate from your video RSS feeds at specified intervals. This method has worked successfully with some of the top earners of the site and they have graciously offered to email us about it to share with everyone. After all the more traffic to Flixya, the more everyone on the site will benefit from.

Here is a quick example that took less than 10 minutes from start to finish

So you want to give someone a hit and want them to give one back. Here’s some little tips that might help you?

When you visit a members Blog in Flixya you are given the opportunity to rate the members posting this can be done quite simply by follow these 5 easy steps

1. On Flixya’s home page you will see the Who’s on Flixya area, choose a members and go to their Blog
2. Choose an Article, picture or Video click the link
3. You should now be seeing the Members post, at the bottom left of the page you will see the Hit Button, click on this button and wait until you see the number count change. (You have now given the member a I like it hit) Sometimes you will hit the button and nothing will happen? To check to see if you hit worked just press your F5 Refresh Button to see if the number changes, if you have already hit this post it will inform you.
4. Now below the hit button is a Comments box, write a quick note then click Submit Comment

Before I get started I wish to bring to your attention the
10 No-No’s in Posting in Flixya, make sure you understand them so you don’t get Suspended.

1. First and foremost you need to find an article base to get started, I searched Google and used the keywords free articles and found many sites that provide articles without Copyright for publishing on my Blog. Be careful as sometimes you will copy an article and without seeing it has Copyright. Make sure there in no © insignia or ™
2. Now you have found an article source its time to get posting
3. Open a second window in your browser (I use Firefox) as it makes posting easier. One window for Flixya, the other for your article source.
4. Click on the Write a Blog link at the top of your Flixya Blog
5. You should now see Write a Blog Post ( Read the terms carefully)
6. 1st Copy the Title of your article and paste it into the Title box
7. 2nd Paste the complete Article into the large text area
8. 3rd Make sure there is no advertising links highlighted if there is highlight the link and then click the unlink button (For myself I remove all links outside of Flixya to be on the safe side. If someone likes the article and wishes to visit the link they can copy and paste it into a new browser window)
9. Now you will need to enter in Tags (Example for this article I used: blog flixya, f, Flixya, flixya adsense, flixya blog, flixya forum, flixya help, flixya secrets)
10. Tags help Google index your page so using words that describe your article helps

There are a few ways that Flixya moderates. Generally, they do send warning emails; however, that's not always the case. They look at each account individually and it's on a case-by-case basis. However, due to the volume of members and content, as they note in their policy, a user’s account may be suspended without warning for a number of reasons.

Obviously, they cannot moderate and prefer not to moderate or police every account. Their flagging system is a way to flag an inappropriate photo or video. Other members do give them a heads up when there is content or if there are other issues that they feel we should know about.

The community is somewhat self-policed and as a small team, we also run a network of other sites, so they are always rather busy.

What that means is that we expect members to follow the rules of Google Adsense and at times, when those members abuse their privileges, Google will not hesitate to discontinue their Google publisher ID. Our rules are similar as we work with Google to make sure that Flixya’s site is within their strict Terms of Service. A lot of our members are aware of the rules that exist as a Google Adsense publisher and if the member
chooses to engage in inappropriate behavior or click fraud, they are shut off. Flixya’s suspensions can be a direct result of many different types of activity, which we don't announce due to the varying degrees of the behavior.

1. First and foremost you need to decide what theme your Flixya Blog is going to take. When you first start pick a subject that you wish to promote ( Forex, Insurance, loans etc.)
The start your posting on the subject you have chosen.
Videos, Articles, Pictures and Blog name should be related to your Blogs subject.

2. When posting articles, Videos or Pictures try and post at least 5 a day.The more content you have the easier it is to be indexed.

3. Keywords (Tags) these are words Google uses to find your articles and blog if your blog was on Forex you might use ( forex, forex online, earn with forex etc.)

4. When you find articles on the subject you wish to promote make sure the article uses the main keyword many times, this help with indexing.

5. There seems to be a magic number of Article posts that once achieved your Adsense revenue grows dramatically. Heres a hint if you posted 50 Articles a day you would reach this target area in 30 days :)

6. Promote Flixya through your friends and others online, the more members and people that are aware of Flixya helps not only Flixya but you too!

7. Post a link to your Flixya blog with other blogs, Forums or websites outside of Flixya. Links help more than you think! Don't get stupid and link to anyone make sure the link is relevant to your blogs content

1. Take time and view the top posters blogs and see how they post and what they are posting about? You will find many top bloggers are using high paying keywords.You can usually find the list by searching Google ( Free top adsense keywords list)

2. If you wish other members to hit your blog visit there blog and choose an article, video or picture and rate it by giving it a hit. One or 2 Hits per blog is more than enough! You will find that other members will then visit your blog and return the favor! Don't get stupid when hitting another members blog like I said 1 or 2 is adequate.

Ok. Let's say something about my post. Like i said in this post title "Why people join flixya ?"
I just ask you all for opinion.

But for me, I know Flixya from my community ( Thaiseoboard Forum ). They told me that at Flixya we can insert our AdSense Pub ID and share revenue with Flixya. And of course , I join flixya for only one reason that is "Make Money".

Ok, after I think about this for many many times. "Am I understand Flixya?" "Why flixya exists?" Then after thinking about this I can understand a little bit about flixya.

What I'd ask here is

"Why you all join Flixya?"
"Are you join here for the same reason like me?"
"Do you have other reasons?"
"Are You join flixya and dont bother with AdSense ??"

Holla day to you my friends

It’s really nice to feel someone regularly stays here and leave you with a piece of seconds to spend writing a simple thoughts.

I was just thought before that Flixya was just all about google adsense, getting traffic source and home profiting based blogsite, but during my days of stay here i’ve seen lots of money bloggers actively busy buzzing each other with their full of + plus plus hits and obsolete repeat notes leave on comments as I’ve seen widely commented.

Now, It came to feel me a piece of good time of life when i get online and check what are the new and fresh things here and meet some real people from distant miles and miles away, whom i hardly recognized what nationalities or countries they came from. Flixya gives not just real traffic but real individual people.

Really, i’m grateful to have a live blog here, taking time with Real people you can easily exchange thoughts and share things under the sun.

I just came online from Christmas holiday hangover when i noticed that some of the folks whom actively alive 4 days ago are now already have suspended account. some of those accounts are “makemoneyclub” and “532054“. I wondered why their account got suspended.

Can anyone share what are the causes or violations that made this account suspended?

As a newbie, I would highly appreciate if anyone can share some Tips or piece of advices.

While Content is key....something even bigger is making FRIENDS!!!! I'm not saying be friends with everyone on Flixya (that couldn't hurt)...but it's a good idea to add people to your friends list as well as leave a comment on their page! Just to say hey or maybe you liked one of their videos...even leave a comment on the video saying "COOL VIDEO!!".

It's amazing how simply adding people to your friends list and leaving a comment or two will help get your own page/profile noticed! There are a few ways that we moderate. Generally, we do send warning emails, however, that’s not always the case. We look at each account individually and it’s on a case-by-case basis. However, due to the volume of members and
content, as we note in our policy, a users account may be suspended without warning for a number of reasons.

Obviously, we cannot moderate and prefer not to moderate or police every account. Our flagging system is a way to flag an inappropriate photo or video. Other members do give us a heads up when there is content or if there are other issues that they feel we should know about.

The community is somewhat self-policed and as a small team, we also run a network of other sites, so we are always rather busy.

What that means is that we expect members to follow the rules of Google Adsense and at times, when those members abuse their privileges, Google will not hesitate to discontinue their Google publisher ID. Our rules are similar as we work with Google to make sure that our site
is within their strict Terms of Service. A lot of our members are aware of the rules that exist as a Google Adsense publisher and if the member
chooses to engage in inappropriate behavior or click fraud, they are shut off. Our suspensions can be a direct result of many different types
of activity, which we don’t announce due to the varying degrees of the behavior.

We’ve found that suspending an account is a good way to get the attention of a member who may not be aware of our policies. In addition, to comply with the Google Terms of Service, a warning is not always the best route, as they put the existence of Flixya in jeopardy.

One area that we can always use assistance with is recruiting new members and

Okay so what have you done so far to promote Flixya, members and content? Just speaking for myself I found a few ways to become creative with promoting. Just as we all place links on Flixya to show our content, I made my own site and posted content from flixya with a link back to flixya and yes also to members.

Now my site is not as big as Flixya and more then likely will never be. However using my site opened a way for me to be able to promote flixya in a different way. Am I bragging? Yes, I am lol I am proud of what I accomplished in a few days. My site also has bookmarking capabilities build in so hmm my visitors might just bookmark some content also.

So what is the point of promoting? It is important to promote because it gives visibility not only to content but also to members/friends and Flixya. More promotion will pay off in the long run. The more you promote the more people will find your content. More friends is more connections... helping each other on the way sets a great atmosphere on Flixya.

Visitors and members will enjoy this and want to return, also they will help promote by talking to their friends and family. It is a great circle which will continue to grow if everyone does their share.

Creating content, posting content, keeping content clean and safe for all to enjoy. This is also important! No one benefits from content that is not family friendly! Your account will be suspended not only by Flixya but also by Google. No second chances folks, internet marketing is a sweet business make the best out of it that you possibly can.

Here are a few repeated tips for your success at Flixya....

On a daily basis people message me to ask what they can do to increase their revenues. So I figured to do a small repeat of some of the tips I wrote already =0)

With posting videos,photos and blogs make sure to add a good description and a catching title. Also very important use good keywords/tags that you also used in your title and description.

The catching title will attract a visitor much easier to one of your postings. The description is not only for your visitor but also for the bot that comes along to place your content to the search engines. The keywords/tags will help all visitors looking for something in specific find content faster.

In overall if you spend a little extra time with paying attention to details on your content you will be successful ...remember Flixya is not going to give you overnight riches, but it will give a nice additional income if more attention goes into the details and to provide your visitors with top content.

Flixya has provided us all an oportunity online which many other revenue sharing sites have yet to do. Oh yes many other sites are claiming to share the revenue and they do, yet so far there is no other site that offers for you to keep 100% revenue.

We can not expect for the owners and the Flixya team to do all the work for us folks...we all have to do something to make it work to our benefit. I don't know if it's just me, but doesn't it seem like there aren't any real "humans" on this website? Baring the fact that nobody will ever read this blog (because they are to self consumed in trying to figure out how to generate more ad click) I'm most likely going to get negative comments for the post. But before you go bashing or writing about how everyone is trying to make some money; lets consider a few things.

1. Comments on Profile pages: Take a look at some of the comments on your profile page. Before you feel all warm and fuzzy that some chick from Holland want to be your friend, notice that the cute message "she" left on your profile page, appears on the other 4.5 million profile pages on the website. Do people actually have that much free time in their lives that they can copy and paste messages on an internet board all day?

2. Blogs: What's with all the blogs about improving ad sense ratios and top paying ad words? Did I miss something when I signed up for Flixya? I thought the site was about sharing your work as an artist or a writer, and then eventually you might make a dollar or two here. If I read one more blog about a get rich quick scheme, I might vomit all over my motherboard.

3. Personal Messaging: If I had an ad click for every time someone sent me a referal link to another get rich quick site, well, I'd have about (currently) seventy two dollars. Who in their right state of mind thinks that I'm going to spend hours upon hours clicking ads, writing ad reviews, watching mindless ad presentations, so that they can get an extra 0.025 cents on their own ad clicks. I'll admit, in the past I wrote a blog post about bux.to, a site that pays for watching ads, but I didn't send out 100 messages to flixya users asking them to become my adclick slaves...

4. Becoming a Friend: What is the point of becoming someone's friend on this site? You send out friend requests in hopes that they come visit your page, and then click your ads, and you never hear from them again. Sure they might do the courtesy +1 on a picture or video, but come on....

I know this sounds like an angry rant (probably because it is) and maybe I'm the only one that feels this way. But there are only so many blog posts about increasing revenue written in perfect gramatical form and complete coherant sentences by people who post this on your profile page "Nice to Meet you too I already Added You Friend Thank For Added Me Happy Your Earning"

So, I guess what I'm saying is, are there any real people on Flixya?
I appreciate what Flixya is doing (and trying to do) and I appreciate Flixya giving me an outlet to publish MY original work, and I will continue to add only MY original work, regardless of ad sense earnings. Hopefully we'll begin to see more than blog robots on this site.

Flixya verses revver

I have been using Revverr for a lil more than a year, and am pleased with the way it works. but the income on it sucks. after a year i have only came to about $3 for 22 videos… three fricking dollars,. That’s just sad.

So i turned to Flixya . because I found it somewhere somehow. .

So Far I am not amused . it seems there is no traffic there at all. everyone’s videos only have like 45 vie3wers at best per year. that’s pathetic.

but flixya works with adsense and I have an account and am hoping this damn site takes off good.. I really wish youtube would do this.. add a blog add pictures section and bam , we have content.

but so far.. nothing from flixya..

Some of you may be able to see the new Flixya site. In addition to videos, we have added photos and blogs. We built the site from the ground up, so there are a lot of new features and some changes. The best news is that you now earn 100% ad revenue! You can also set up a profile and share all your videos and photos on one page.

We have started to migrate all the data from Flixya V1 to Flixya V2. If you are an existing member, you should be able to log in with your existing username and password. The migration of all member and password information should be completed by Tuesday, June 19th.

If you have a Google publisher id, you can add this to your existing account by logging in and clicking on "My Account", then "Revenue Settings" and select yes and follow the prompts. If you run into any errors, please contact us at contact@flixya.com.

Congratulations to Flixya Co-founder, COO and USC graduate student, Ivan Wong, who was selected to participate in USC's first student innovator showcase held on October 11th, 2007, presented by the USC Stevens Institute for Innovation.

The Student Innovator Showcase and Competition attracted nearly 60 teams of students, from all corners of the university and in total, more than 200 students applied to participate in the competition and showcase. Flixya was one of 40 exhibits presented at the showcase this year.

A couple of Days i had posted an article on Earning Money with Video Upload using Metacafe Video Uploading and Revver Video Uploading Features. Here is another Video Sharing service that is offering 100% of its revenues to the users.

Flixya has recently made some changes to its service and is now offering users 100% of their earnings. This seems to be far from believable. Flixya uses your Google Publisher ID to display ads on your pages and the income that is earned for your Clicks seems to be paid to the Users. What i dont understand is that How they are going to Pay 100% of the revenues to the users. Is it Genuine and Believable.

Flixya also seems to offering users with Thoughts about locations to share the videos. You can share your videos from sites like YouTube, Google Video, Revver, Daily Motion, and other video sharing sites.

Further you can share your Images from popular image hosting sites like Flickr and post photos on Ebay and Craigslist. The system seems to be far from belief and i don't see any reason for not sharing the revenue.

In what’s turning out to be a busy day for online video news, San Francisco-based Flixya have launched their new video-sharing offering today. But Flixya users don’t just share videos - they share in the revenue, too.

Flixya’s rev share program offers a 50/50 split to those who submit content from YouTube, Metacafe, Daily Motion, Google Video, MySpace Video and other sites that offer embedded Flash players. Just paste the video code into the box, add a title, some tags and a description and hit submit. The rev share system uses Google AdSense, and your publisher ID is used 50% of the time. They also encourage users to drive traffic to their videos to bump up the ad revenue.

Flixya has two more “sharing” schemes. The first is the Rewards program, which awards points for referring new users (15 points), sharing a video (10 points) or adding a comment (3 points). These can be exchanged for prizes like a MacBook Pro, an iPod Nano, a Canon Digital Rebel XT, an Apple 20″ cinema display, an Xbox 360, a Sidekick 3, a Sony PSP, a Creative Zen MP3 player or a $100 gift card. But don’t get too excited: the cheapest item costs 30,000 points. The second scheme is the “Charity Program”. Rather than taking all your Google earnings for yourself (that would be greedy!), you can donate them to charities including the Lance Armstrong Foundation and World Vision. However, it looks like Flixya will still retain the other 50%.

So will this work out? I’m not sure. YouTube is burning huge amounts of money to host these videos, and they won’t take too kindly to others putting ads around them. On the other hand, what’s the difference between Flixya’s strategy and just reposting YouTube videos on your ad-supported blog? (Of course, the advantage of posting to your own blog is that you get to keep 100% of the ad revenue.) I guess the biggest problem comes down to content ownership: we’ve already seen YouTube sued over copyright infringement - letting other sites make even more money from those infringements can’t be a good thing.

Flixya is a great way to capitalize on the video sharing craze, and the site is a very polished attempt. But I also think it will lead to some good discussions about monetizing content that you don’t own.

After reading several times about Flixya on the Revver forums, I finally decided to sign up and give it a whirl. My account there was “suspended” yesterday, and here’s the tale behind that rather amusing and ironic move…Shortly after signing up, I quickly realized that the site was like a bad mix of MySpace and YouTube. But before I get to the details, I must point out that I did get a few views of a view Revverized videos in the short time that my account was active. But, as I’ll explain more below, it’s impossible to tell if I ever earned any money by sharing videos (or photos or writings) there. Anyway, there was some tiny value in Flixya in the form of a few more viewers. That’s all the good I can say about it.

Now for the bad (or at least ridiculous) stuff…

My first warning that there was something amiss at Flixya was that the site is promoted as a way to make money (front page says “Create your account and instantly start making money” — although what Flixya means by “instantly” is certainly not what most people think of regarding that word). Yet the TOS starts off by telling users that the site’s services are for personal, non-commercial use only. Now, color me and the dictionary confused, but the supposed purpose of Flixya (to share and earn money) fits the definition of commercial quite well. Abiding by the TOS would mean not creating an account at all (because you’ll “instantly” earn money if you do, which is a commercial use of their services).

I should’ve heeded that unintentional warning and skipped signing up. But curiosity drove me forward, fool that I would prove myself to be.

The next bad sign was the MySpace-ish “friend” spam — people, and by that I mean complete strangers, almost immediately started asking me to add them as my friend, claiming to have already added me as a friend (which sometimes was true). There was also heavy comment spam on profiles and content pages — the exact same comment from the same person posted countless times, devaluing the comment feature.

As if this wasn’t enough, the next bad sign was the YouTube-ish attitude toward copyright violation, i.e., “our terms prohibit it, but we won’t actually do anything about it unless specific instances are brought to our attention.” Obviously this leads to rampant copyright violations, which I could see right away. However, I couldn’t alert Flixya to the problem, because they apparently only want to hear from the copyright owner. Well, I can’t make myself the copyright police for every content owner on the planet, so I had no feasible choice but to try to ignore the criminal behavior so evident on the site.

To further the bad experience, the site itself is only weakly functional. As one quick example, you’d better really like every “friend” you add because I could find no way to un-add them. A more relevant example is the paucity of support for tracking earnings. They allow you to tie your account to your Google AdSense account, and they insert the relevant code on your content pages so that clicks on ads there will be credited toward your AdSense account. However, they don’t support channel tracking. As I was told by the person whom I had most noticed promoting Flixya, the only way to tell what you earn there is to ensure that any non-channel revenue is Flixya revenue. That is, every other place you use AdSense had better have a channel associated with it, so that the remainder tells you what you earned on Flixya. If you have any other non-channel ad units out on the Web, you’ll never know what was earned on Flixya versus via those other ad units.

So what should I do amidst all these warning signs pointing to the general worthlessness of the site? I should’ve deleted my account (if the site even supports that function, I’m somewhat skeptical on that point). Instead, I figured I would make the best of it. I would post content (videos, photos, blog entries) to which I was sure I had rights to share, rather than violating copyrights. I would only post real comments on profiles and content pages, rather than spamming like crazy. And I would only add friends who seemed to be “real” users (like myself) rather than intrasite spammers.

Ah, but that last point was the beginning of the end. I added somebody who said they added me as a friend, and I thought they might be a “real” user. I then realized they lied and had not added me at all. So, not wanting to be confrontational, I decided to delete them as my friend. Oops! The site doesn’t support that feature.

Feeling rather annoyed at the whole scenario, I posted a short and negative critique of Flixya to my Flixya blog. I’m sure some would say I was asking to have my account suspended by criticizing the host, but mature service providers don’t dump people just because they say something negative about the service. That description clearly doesn’t apply to Flixya, because my account didn’t last much longer. The next time I tried to log in, I was told my account was suspended and that I should contact them at their ‘abuse’ email address. I contacted them and they confirmed (indirectly) that it was my negative comments in my blog — not any violation of their TOS — that inspired them to suspend my account.

So what did I say in that blog? Just what I’ve said here — that too many Flixya users abuse the site by posting copyright violating content and spamming other users, and that the site itself has significant shortcomings. Rather than deal with my comments in a mature and professional manner, they deleted them and suspended my account. So, they suspended somebody who was doing the right thing (sharing lawfully and not spamming) in favor of those who abuse the site.

So here’s an analogy to consider. Someone could come here and post negative comments about My Vids Rock! — or even about me, or Johnny Pixel Productions. What should I do about such a message? Well, if I was Flixya, I could delete the message and disable the user’s account. But that is childish at best! Instead, I would either answer the comments based on their merits. If they were accurate (and let’s face it, nothing’s perfect in this world), then I would try to explain why the problems existed and what (if anything) was being done to resolve them. If the comments were not accurate, I would probably just say that and let it go. I certainly wouldn’t delete the message or delete the person’s account.

Anyway, I’m not angry at the loss of my Flixya account, and am actually rather amused by it. I’ve been thinking of humorous ways to turn my “education about Flixya” into a short little (Revverized) video to share with others. Not sure I’ll have the time for that, but it could be fun if I do.

Against my better judgement, even after reading an article about Flixya possibly violating Adsense TOS, I opened up account with Flixya and decided to share some video links I liked on YouTube. That day I submitted over 200 video links from YouTube. Within 24 hours, Google sent me a notification e-mail that I had violated their TOS regarding invalid page impressions. In their e-mail to me they stated the following,

“It has come to our attention that invalid impressions have been generated on the Google ads on your site(s). We have therefore disabled your Google AdSense account.”

Flixya’s Revenue Sharing program was the source of my problems. Every time you post, view, or edit your own videos and comments on Flixya, you receive a page impression with Google. This is very bad for users because it means that every time you visit Flixya to submit, edit, or view videos you’ve submitted, you will get screwed. It is obvious that Flixya most definitely violates Google’s TOS (at least indirectly), and therefore no one should ever use their revenue sharing program for fear of being banned from Adsense.

I have appealed this with Google, and I will report any further communication from Google.

Flixya, anyone having any luck with it?

Is anyone having any luck with flixya? They take your Youtube video and run ads around it while switching betweeen your adsense code and theirs from dat to day, thus spliting the income with you. Also can I set up a channel for my flixya acct? they only want the pub id so Im not sure how to do a channel on it.
